Bathroom Design Tips
The bathroom remodel process doesn’t have to be an intimidating one - it actually should be a lot of fun. I love creating bathroom spaces for clients - both adults and kids - as they are a place in the home that you can get creative while still incorporating classic elements to keep the space feeling timeless.
Here are some of my favorite ways to start the bathroom design process:
Select one item and build around it! Picking one key piece and building your design off of that is the key element. In our Warren, NJ interior design project we designed the space off of one key architectural element - the arched niche in the walk-in shower. Our vision was to create a stunning focal point. Not only does it add practicality - hello, shampoos and conditioners - it also creates a beautiful design moment we know our clients love day in and day!
Find a theme and drive with it! One of our Westfield, NJ bathroom remodel projects was a blast for two of our tiniest clients. This brother duo loveeeee cars and their mom knew the phase would last for years. We used classic design elements by pairing subway tile with hexagons and leaned into wallpaper, decor, and lighting to really play into the theme. These little boys race their way into bathtime everyday because of a fun and playful space they get to call their own!
Whether it's an architectural design detail or a playful theme, you have to start somewhere! Scroll Instagram to explore different designs, hop onto Pinterest to see what's new in the world of pins, and look around when you explore new cities or destinations. The starting point for your next bathroom remodel might be where you least expect it!
