Travel That Inspires
As an interior designer one of the most integral parts of my role is staying creative and keeping up with design trends. The reality is, sometimes I get stuck in a rut and experience “designers block.” One of my favorite ways to eliminate this is by traveling. Exploring new destinations, receiving a new stamp in my passport, and seeing these places through the girls eyes - it truly helps me stay creative.
Our recent trip to The Boca Raton was full of design inspiration. The resort perfectly blended old with new and the rich history that fills the property was endless. Every restaurant was full of decor and ambience that I am eager to sprinkle into upcoming projects and the tile and architectural details had me swooning.
The standout moments were the shag chairs from a dinner spot on the beach, a fun ceiling design that I am brainstorming how to incorporate into my own backyard plans, and archways that I dream to incorporate into a future custom build projects. Oh, and the perfectly crafted espresso martini wasn’t too bad either!
I head back to Florida come May to visit another new beach town and I can’t wait to see what design inspiration I discover next!
