The CRD&CO. Process
The process of remodeling a home or a specific space in your house can be daunting, unless you’re similar to me and love a good home renovation project. For me, there is nothing more satisfying than the progress of building something new — no matter how long it may take. Watching a room come to life is magical, and the best mess is construction dust!
Today, I want to discuss the process and what it’s like working with the CRD&CO. team!
Step 1: The Discovery Call — a call or meeting to discuss the overall scope of a client’s project. Here, Alison learns about goals, wishes, and generalized plans.
Step 2: Initial Consultation — During step two, the client will share initial inspiration, we’ll discuss goals and wish-lists, learn about any known challenges the project might throw our way, and discuss how the client utilizes each space in their home to truly maximize its design potential.
Step 3: The Contract — Once we agree that we’ll make a great team, the CRD&CO. group will put together a formal proposal outlining the scope of the project, the costs, and all the nitty-gritty business items.
Step 4: The Design Phase — The fun is about to start! This is where Alison will begin brainstorming ideas, sifting through the client’s endless inspiration photos, and start pulling initial ideas together. Design concepts start to become alive and the details start to come together. We review construction documents and plans, create mood boards, design specific spaces alongside other vendors, and help with material selections from countertops and tile, to paint and wall coverings.
Step 5: Installation & Styling — The best phase! This is when everything truly comes together. Furniture is being delivered, window treatments are being installed, and decor is being strategically placed throughout the home. It’s the final step in the entire process but the one we’ve all been waiting for! At the end of Step 5, the CRD&CO. marketing team comes in to take beautiful pictures of your home that we will all cherish forever! Welcome home!
We always tell our clients that the entire process is truly an emotional rollercoaster. Building or designing a space in your home is personal so the emotion runs parallel throughout it all. However, with a strong team and a thoughtful game plan, anything is possible!
Let’s make beautiful spaces together!
xx,
Alison
