Before + After: Project Dream Home

We’ve teased our latest kitchen and living room project on Instagram but the full reveal - and alllll the details - are finally here! This project holds a special place in my heart and I am so excited to share it with you all. As an interior designer, one of the most fulfilling parts of my work is bringing a vision to life - especially in spaces that truly define the heart of the home. Kitchens are where everyday moments happen, where families gather, and where good design can truly elevate the simple times of each day.

I’m thrilled to share all of the before and after moments from this interior design project. It is a space that perfectly balances warmth, functionality and timeless style.

The kitchen started as a dated, closed-off space that lacked personality and flow. The goal? To create a floorplan that offered island seating while not compromising a spot for a dining table since we eliminated the formal dining room. We also wanted to create a true organization for a homeowner who loves to cook and experiment in the kitchen.

Moving over to the living room, we expanded the opening between the new kitchen footprint and living room to make the spaces feel like one. The outdated fireplace received a major upgrade and converted from wood burning to gas for convenient living. We also rearranged the seating and added a Frame TV. The space has become a secondary television space so style beats a typical husband’s demands for the largest TV - at least that's the demand in my house - HA!

When we finally got to photograph the space alongside the wonderful Meghan Balcom it was like a mini celebration. The months of hard work, the years of dreaming (on the clients side), and weeks of detailed planning all was worth it!
